The Master's Message...

March 2010

Winter is almost over and spring is just around the corner. It is time to wake from the winter rest and let’s get busy. Who do you know that should be a member of the Craft and be associated with us in this good work? Remember that Degree work is the meat and potatoes of Masonic work. We need to continue to find good men to make better.

I want to thank everyone for coming to our Sweethearts dinner. It was great to see all of you at this special event.

At our March stated we will be receiving Don Stapleton, District Deputy on his official visit to Waverly. We will also have a guest speaker from Jennings McCall to talk about the Masonic and Eastern Star Home. Have your questions ready.

In April, we will have someone from the Red Cross as our guest at our Stated meeting. Also, mark your calendars for the Blue Lodge training on the 23rd and 24th at Tigard Orenomah. We need 5 members to go and represent the Lodge. If you are interested please inform me or the Secretary.

May is the month for the Safety Patrol Picnic at Oaks Park. Come and join us in this very worth while project. We cook and wrap hot dogs to feed the kids. Not hard work, but a great time to have some fellowship with brethren from the other Lodges.

Remember to bring your Stuffed Toys to Lodge for the Kids at the Shrine Hospital. This is one of my projects for the year to serve humanity and the community.

Fraternally,
– Larry Philbrick, W.M.
