The Master's Message...
May 2010
April’s stated meeting with Lents was a real success. I would like to thank everyone that came. Our stated meeting in May will be a dual meeting with East Gate Lodge. We will also have a visitor from Jennings McCall to talk to us about the Masonic and Eastern Star Home.
I would like to welcome the Brethren that joined Waverly Lodge at our April Meeting. We continue to progress forward with our membership goal. It is wonderful to have all of our brethren in Lodge, to share in our fellowship and fun. Of coarse everyone has heard about the wonderful dinners that the Eastern Star prepares for us at each meeting to complete the 3 requirements of FOOD, FELLOWSHIP AND FUN.
Don’t forget the Safety Patrol Picnic coming in May. Everyone who comes has a GREAT time as we prepare the hot dogs for the kids who served their classmates by being part of the Safety Patrol. This is a Thursday and Friday morning event and everyone who is able is invited to participate. As chairman of this project it would be GREAT to have a good showing from Waverly Lodge.
Please bring your stuffed animals for the Shrine Hospital to our meetings. This is one of our projects for the year and we are looking to make this a big success.
The Speaker from the Red Cross has been rescheduled for later this year. We hope to have a blood drive in the near future involving the residents from the neighborhood and all the tenants from Washington Masonic Center.
Fraternally,
– Larry Philbrick, W.M.
