The Columbia Willamette York Rite Association (CWYRA) as been in existence for over a decade
but had fallen into inactive status. It was revived by MWB Lowell Amundsen and MWB Larry Weaver in 2004. The purpose of the
organization is to coordinate Degrees and Orders for the York Rite, to identify and ritualists to do the various parts in
conferring the Degrees and to organize, promote and manage the Festivals where the candidates may attend and receive these Degrees.
The organization is loosely structured and membership is made up of leaders and is open to every York Rite body
in the State of Oregon. There are no membership fees but the CWYRA charges a fee at the time of Degree work to pay for the use of
the building and lunch, when provided. They typically meet monthly but on an on-call basis per notice sent. |
The Association has also provided an inventory of jewels, pins, button covers, decals, cannons and
other items of interest to Masons. These are displayed in the case in the George Washington Masonic Center and are for sale.
The sale of these items provides the only fund raising source for revenue for the Association.
A partial inventory and prices are shown in the Sale portion of this webpage.
The Association holds Festivals in the Spring and Fall, depending on numbers of petitions for Degrees and Orders.
Applications for Registration will appear in this webpage prior to the Festival.
