Well, Bethel #67 is in full swing, and our girls did an outstanding job at our first meeting back. It was so nice to see everyone again after our summer break.

A big thank you to Washington Lodge for the “Youth Honor Night” and for the Certificates of Appreciation presented to our members. We do appreciate all of the Masonic Bodies at Washington Masonic Center and really love helping when we can.

Several of our members attended Leadership Camp in Sept. They learned a lot about teamwork and helping a Bethel grow. It wasn’t all work though. There was time for swimming, miniature gold, rock wall climbing, riding the zip cord, camp fires and much more.

This month we will be attending the pageant for the Miss Oregon Job’s Daughter 2009-2010, on Sunday, Oct. 4. On Oct. 24 we will be helping at the Shrine Hospital with the annual Food Caravan. It sounds like a lot of fun and we can’t wait to help out at the hospital. Don’t forget our meetings on the 13 & 27. Our Bethel will be making Halloween “Trick or Treat” Boxes this month for the kids at the Ronald McDonald Houses. These kids will not be able to go out on Halloween to trick or treat like most others. So we have decided to go to them. We will be making up and decorating shoe boxes of goodies to take and hand out. If you would like to donates anything to help us please let our Bethel Guardian know. You can leave it at the lodge or Mrs. Michaels would be happy to pick it up. Item might be coloring books, crayons, story books, playdough, pencils, small toys, baby items, etc. We will put a handful of candy in each one also.

Our membership is on a slight decline and we are always looking for new members. If you know of a young lady we could contact please call Heather Sargent at 503-771-5839. Mrs. Sargent is our Promotion and Jobie-To-Be chairman or call your Bethel Guardian.

Jobie Love,
